Once were two little pumpkins in a pumpkin patch.
The one pumpkin kept crawling away to explore the colorful leaves...

so the pumpkin farmers brought some leaves closer for the little pumpkins to see.

After close examination both pumpkins decided to taste the beautiful leaves.

The littlest pumpkin got one delicious leaf stuck on her face.

Luckily her cousin came to the rescue and plucked the troublesome leaf from her face as gently as an almost ten month old pumpkin could.

and then all was good in the pumpkin patch until...

the bigger pumpkin tried to crawl over the little one. Having survived a near squashing the littlest pumpkin was very content to play in her pumpkin patch.

Grant woke up with some crazy hair yesterday. It was too awesome to pass up!

Where's Grant? G's new favorite thing is to crawl over to the window, pull himself up and hide behind the curtains. I love how he blends in here!


I think we should buy some stock in windex!

Milestones

G is pulling himself up in his crib. I put him down to play while I ran to get something and when I came back he was standing up and looking at me, laughing because he knew he had done something pretty cool!Then, Jeff and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on a boat cruise. As you can see we are wearing name tags because it was a dental get-together. The next day we went to a wonderful restaurant, The New Scenic Cafe. It was delicious!
A couple of days later we spent a fun day at our friends' cabin where G took his first ever boat ride! As you can tell from the pictures, he was pretty good but had his moments. Life jackets are essential but not super fun for the kiddos!

Then, G learned to feed himself little finger food snacks! He still misses some but is getting pretty good at hitting the right spot.

This last Friday night, I looked down at G and he was mobile! He was "army crawling" across the floor to get to a toy. As you can imagine, we were so excited!

The final exciting milestone to report I (Anna) have actually not seen! Jeff, Debbie and Duane have witnessed G going from his belly to his bottom. I have been trying to see this incredible task but he hasn't done it in front of me yet!

My Dad and Uncle Rick took some artsy pictures of Linnea & I with a ring like this so I thought I'd give it a try. It's not so easy with a baby that doesn't sit still! :)

Little G is 8 months old!

We've continued our fun-filled summer by spending some quality time with the more family and friends. Grant's latest milestone is rolling from his back to his tummy and he's not crawling yet but he's getting really close! He loves to stand up holding onto stuff too!

Its been a crazy July for this family!

So I've decided to make a giant posting to show you all what we've been up to.

On 7.3 we travelled to Gladstone, MI to spend a week with my family.

Grant and Laurel got to see their first parade.

We spent a night with Linnea and Kevin on our way home. We drove to CPBC to visit and these two were out!

I give G this bin to pull toys out of when he's playing. I was thinking, he sounds pretty quiet so I came to look and he had pulled it over his head. He was playing with several toys inside the bin. So funny!
I took it off his head and he pulled it back over again. It's a Grant sized fort!





Off to the farm in Quamba, MN for a Larson family reunion. We had a fun-filled day with my mom's side of the family!

A few days later we were off to Houghton Michigan for my cousin Hans' wedding. We took the opportunity to drive up to the northern most point of Michigan and enjoy the scenery. I don't have many pics because my camera battery was essentially dead.

They have an aerial lift bridge too!
